Spearheading growth in the firm’s Dallas office, Kathleen Kilanowski’s practice focuses primarily on community association law, real estate, construction and commercial litigation. She has represented hundreds of property owners’ associations and developers in matters concerning foreclosures, title and lien holder disputes, evictions, receiverships, tax suits, restrictive covenant enforcement, construction defects, municipal ordinance violations, condemnations, non-profit association governance, secured and unsecured debt collection and post judgment collections, in addition to representing over one hundred banks, lenders and mortgage services in a variety of legal matters. She is one of the very few attorneys in Texas well-versed in mortgage, homeowners’ association and condominium association foreclosures.

Raised in Dallas, Kathleen is a very active member of the community. She is a member of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers and the Dallas Bar Association, and currently serves as an officer of the Dallas Bar Association’s Real Property Law Section. She graduated from the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers’ Leadership Class, is a Fellow of the DAYL Foundation, and a former member of the Dallas Bar Association’s prestigious Vision 2020 Committee. She previously served on the Ursuline Academy of Dallas Alumnae Association Board from 2006 to 2012, and is now a member of the Ursuline Professional Women’s Networking Group. Her other numerous civic involvements have included the Junior League of Dallas and underwriting committees of other local philanthropies.

A graduate of University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, she received her J.D. from St. Mary’s School of Law, where she was an Associate Editor of The Scholar Law Review.
